Swett Dried Figs
A treat for you ouzo or your coffee.
Ingredients

Bay Leaves
Recipe
We open the figs and make sure that they are not rotten.
We place them of wooden boards, covered with thin fabric and left to sun-dry for a week, making sure that we remember to keep them indoors during the night in order not for the figs to maintain any humidity.
After 8 days, we place the figs on a tray and bake in the oven for an hour and a half at 100 degrees Celsius.
We place baked figs inside a tin tray, one layer of figs, one layer of bay leaves, and we sprinkle with sesame seeds (if desired). We cal also stuff the dried figs with walnuts and cinnamon powder.
